Derek Carr Jersey

Erstellt 04.01.2019 07:58 von huangjian123 04.01.2019 07:58 In der Kategorie Investments.

Broncos coach Vance Joseph is criticizing his team's conservative defensive play against the Oakland Raiders but takes responsibility rather than blaming defensive coordinator Joe Woods. The Broncos kept giving the Raiders eight-yard cushions and quarterback Derek Carr repeatedly threw quick strikes to those wide-open targets as he set a franchise record by completing 90.6 percent of his passes — 29 of 32 for 288 yards in Oakland's 20-19 loss in Denver on Sunday."I thought yesterday defensively that we didn't play aggressively enough in the first half Authentic Jordy Nelson Jersey , and that's on me," Joseph said Monday. "This offense obviously poses problems because they come in with a lot of different weapons, a lot of different matchup issues."Joseph said the Broncos (2-0) were too engrossed in what running backs Marshawn Lynch and Jalen Richard, tight end Jared Cook and receivers Amari Cooper and Martavis Bryant might do to spark the Raiders (0-2)."So, we played way too cautious," Joseph said. "Our defense is based on rushing five, playing press-man coverage. And in the first half we didn't do that. And it showed, we were really non-aggressive and they took advantage of us. In the second half, we got more aggressive and it showed and we played better. But that's on me."Carr completed 18 of 19 throws for 153 yards before halftime."Sometimes as a coach you can over-game plan and make your guys really non-aggressive," said Joseph, who stressed he's always involved with the defensive game plan.Carr was almost as sharp in the second half when he completed 11 of 13 passes for 133 yards and a touchdown but they frittered away a 19-7 lead late in the third quarter.Joseph said Denver's pass rush couldn't have done better because Carr only "held the ball twice and we got two sacks." Both were by Von Miller , but the first one, which resulted in a turnover, was negated by penalty."So, at halftime he was 18 for 19 and they were really quick passes Authentic Marshawn Lynch Jersey , so that falls back on the corners," Joseph said. "We have to press the receivers because we know if he holds the ball we can get pressure. If it comes out quick and we're seven, eight yards off, it's going to be a completed ball and he's going to fall for five or six. Our corners have to play with great confidence all the time and obviously play with press coverage."Even though he took responsibility, Joseph indicated that Bradley Roby and Adam Jones have to "have the confidence to go up there and challenge whoever, 12 (Bryant), 89 (Cooper) and play technique and trust the pass rush. Yesterday, we didn't do that."Nose tackle Domata Peko welcomed the notion of a more aggressive mind-set from the get-go because Carr was "getting rid of the ball in two seconds, quick, little smoke outside. Then we made some adjustments and those quick, little throws weren't there no more. I'm really happy we went to halftime, made those adjustments and came out the second half and did our thing."Joseph also said Jones, who signed late last month, needs to get in better shape because his hamstrings tightened up on him, forcing Tramaine Brock into the game in his place."He's only been here three weeks now Womens Derek Carr Jersey , so he has to get in football shape," Joseph said. "That's half of Adam's problem right now."Star cornerback Chris Harris Jr. said he wasn't worried about Carr's efficiency or passing statistics, only about shutting down Oakland's offense at the end."As long as we can hold anyone to 19 points," Harris said, "we should win every game."Raider Nation in state of shock and righteous anger over Khalil Mack trade Much of the Raider Nation woke up from a dead sleep and entered a nightmare. The Raiders traded Khalil Mack. Words very few thought they’d hear this morning. The shock of this has been massive, causing several stages of grief to kick in almost simultaneously. But mostly it’s anger. And rightfully so.Some will try to justify it. I get it. It’s a coping mechanism. If you want to keep rooting for this team and for Jon Gruden’s “triumphant return” as Raiders head coach, you have to talk yourself into this. Some are saying things like the Raiders can’t pay two stars simultaneously (even though they can). Some are saying this winning cures all, even though you need great players like Khalil Mack in order to win games. Some are saying this will be better long term even though Mack is in his prime and will be for several years and draft picks are a crap shoot. We all went to bed last night thinking despite the reports the trade market was heating up for Mack, that it just didn’t make any sense for it to actually happen. Then I woke up, likely the same way many of us did, with a phone call. I’m thinking Bruce Irvin was one of those people. And he doesn’t mess around.Derek Carr said the same, but G rated. Saying simply “No way” and how “sucky” this is.Yeah. Sucky.Gruden came into Oakland and immediately started throwing his weight around. He made a series of questionable trades in the draft — with the answer being that they were bad trades — and now he has made the stupidest trade since probably ever. The fallout from this has been a lot of righteous anger on the part of a scorned Raider Nation. As I said last week, this will be a dark cloud that will always hang over Jon Gruden. Every move he makes will be looked at through the lens of being the guy who shipped the best defensive player in the NFL away instead of paying him what he’s worth. The stink of this won’t wash off easily.Follow @LeviDamien

Authentic Marshawn Lynch Jersey

Erstellt 04.01.2019 07:47 von huangjian123 04.01.2019 07:47 In der Kategorie Investments.

BustersJon Gruden Authentic Marshawn Lynch Jersey , Derek Carr, Paul GuentherEach week leading up to this week we could look at one or two things at least that worked for this team. And it had you wondering if they could put it together when it mattered most. They answered that with an emphatic no.In the first half, the defense gave the game away. The Chargers drove for an opening score to take a 3-0 lead. The offense got on the board to begin the second quarter, but even that was a failure. After driving into first and goal at the 5-yard-line, Gruden called for Carr to put the ball in the air on three consecutive plays. The first play he threw incomplete into triple coverage for Jared Cook. A false start by Jon Feliciano didn’t help matters, but even on that play, it was going to be a play fake to Marshawn with Carr rolling out. A dump off to Jalen Richard was not going to come close to picking up the 12 yards needed for the score. The result was a field goal and more red zone problems, of which the Raiders were already among the league’s worst red zone teams.Back to the defense; on consecutive drives late in the second quarter, they went for a touchdown. The first was Philip Rivers getting the ball away to running back Austin Ekeler in the left flat and since the Raiders went on a blitz, there wasn’t much out there to stop him. He made one move to get past Tahir Whitehead and Daryl Worley and was gone 44 yards for the score. The other drive was a similar story. The Raider rushed and Rivers threw a screen pass to Melvin Gordon who went 34 yards, stopped only by tripping over his blocker’s foot. But he would score anyway a few plays later. Little did we know at the time, but that would be plenty for the Chargers to win this one.The Raiders got the ball back with 1:39 on the clock but no timeouts. So, they would need to work the boundaries as best they could. The first pass was great, with Carr finding Seth Roberts for 20 yards and he got out of bounds. They were still not to midfield yet though. Then a series of short dump passes drained the clock significantly and picked up just 16 yards. Carr spiked the ball for the second time on third down with :06 left and undrafted rookie Matt McCrane was brought out to try a 57-yard field goal. He missed it short. That is an example of terrible clock management. What they couldn’t do in 99 seconds, the Chargers did in 6 seconds. They moved the ball into range for a Hail Mary pass, it fell incomplete, but Bruce Irvin was flagged for roughing the passer to put them in range of a 48-yard field goal which, fortunately for the Raiders, he missed. After falling to 20-3, the Raiders mounting a drive that would be the last best hope to make a comeback. They would get a pass interference call in the end zone that put them in first and goal at the one. So, what does Gruden do? He calls for a pass. Carr scans the field, feels pressure, backpedals and throws it right into the hands of Melvin Ingram for the interception in the end zone. Threat over. Game over. Before all was said and done, the Chargers would gouge the Raiders one more time on a screen for a 13-yard touchdown early in the fourth.Kolton MillerIt was an utterly miserable day for Miller. Carr was sacked three times in the game. All three were surrendered by Miller. And that wasn’t all.The first sack came on the first third down to start the day with a three-and-out. Early in the second quarter, with the Raiders in third and 3, Miller gave up a pressure that had Carr running from the pocket and throwing incomplete up the sideline. The next drive, Miller gave up a tackle for loss on a Doug Martin run and then had a false start on third and 2 leading to a third and long and an incompletion for a three-and-out.The first third down of the second half and Miller gave up his second sack. The next drive, on third and 7, he gave pressure on Carr who nearly had the ball stripped, but managed somehow to get it away to Jalen Richard for a 32-yard gain. Two plays later Womens Derek Carr Jersey , Miller gave up another pressure which Carr was again luckily able to pull away from for a 5-yard scramble.Just for good measure, Miller would give up one more sack on Carr on the drive after the Chargers went up 26-3, forcing the Raiders to have to go for it on fourth down to keep the drive alive. Miller has an injured leg that had him wearing a brace all game and he said affected his play all game. It sounds as if he maybe shouldn’t have been playing. See the Top Buster for that.Marquel LeeThere were three scores by the Chargers in the first half. They were able to move into scoring position because of a 16-yard run in which Lee was out of position, arrived late, and was blocked when he did arrive. The next drive he gave up a 10-yard dump pass. That second touchdown drive by the Chargers was brutal for Lee. He gave up an 11-yard catch on the first play. The next play, he blitzed and Paul Guenther said he wasn’t supposed to. The result was a perfectly executed screen play with no one to stop it. It went for 34 yards and had Gordon not tripped on his blocker’s foot, it would have been a touchdown. Three plays later it was a touchdown, with Gordon punching it in right through Lee’s position.Gareon Conley, Rashaan MelvinThe second play of the game, Melvin gave up a 17-yard catch. The next play Conley was blocked on a 16-yard run that led to a game opening field goal. The next drive, Melvin gave up a 19-yard catch on third and four.Early in the second quarter, the Raiders started their drive at their own 11-yard-line because Conley lost his block on the return team to get Dwayne Harris tackled as soon as he fielded the punt.Melvin Ingram returned his interception of Derek Carr’s in the end zone to the 4-yard-line, giving the Chargers a long field. They cut that field in half on one play with Conley getting burnt for a 48-yard catch. A few plays later, Melvin gave up a 26-yard catch that put the Chargers in scoring position. They would eventually score the touchdown to run away with the game.Arden Key, Bruce IrvinIf there was ever a game in which these two should have gone off it was this one. Both of the Chargers starting tackles were out for this game. And yet it was just another game that saw the Raiders make one sack in the first half and nothing else. Irvin was the one who got the sack, giving him 3.0 on the season. That’s great, but he joins Key here. Irvin lands here for his boneheaded roughing the passer penalty that handed the Chargers a chance at scoring with no time left on the clock at the end of the first half. It was only a missed 48-yard field goal that kept the Chargers from being up 20-3 at the half. Just dumb.Key also had a roughing the passer penalty. It offset a holding penalty that would have taken the Chargers out of field goal range on their first drive. He missed the tackle in Gordon’s 9-yard run to reach the one-yard line and the Chargers scored two plays later. Key also overran the play on the Chargers’ final touchdown. Rivers simply tossed the ball over his head on the screen that went 13 yards for the score.Martavis BryantHis 91 yards receiving are some of the most useless, garbage time yards you’ll see. His biggest catch went for 47 yards after the game was out of reach. His 21-yard catch in the second quarter he fumbled away to set up the Chargers second touchdown drive off a short field. This after that horrible drop on the deep pass last week. He is just not dependable.See the BallersReady or not Raiders to start Rookies at both tackle spots versus Chargers Last April the Raiders went tackle with two of their top three picks — Kolton Miler at 14 overall and Brandon Parker in the third round. Now in just the fifth game of the season those two rookies will be starting across from each other.Top pick Kolton Miller stepped in at tackle in the offseason while Donald Penn recovered from foot surgery. Once Penn returned, right tackle Breno Giacomini had been lost to injury, so the team opted to move Penn to right tackle — a position he had never started a game in his long career — and keep Miller at left tackle. That was the arrangement for the first four games. Then in the third quarter of Sunday’s against the Browns, Penn was lost to a leg injury and Parker made his debut at right tackle. It was a sketchy start for Parker who played 57 snaps and gave up two sacks and four pressures. Though, to be fair, one of those sacks Derek Carr held onto the ball too long.“He did well. He did some good things. He had a couple of plays that he needs to clean up,” Jon Gruden said of Parker’s performance in the game. “When you go in that game, it’s an obvious passing situation, obviously. Up-tempo and all the chips are on the table to go in there and play against a team like Cleveland who’s blitzing repeatedly. I thought he did some good things. We’re pleased with both of our rookie tackles. I know it was a sore topic when we drafted both of them a few months ago with some people, but we need those two guys.”They certainly needed Kolton Miller over the first four games, and now they will rely on both to protect their franchise quarterback. Today it was announced that Penn would be headed to injured reserve and Parker would be getting his first start Sunday when the Raiders head to Los Angeles to face the Chargers.“I love Donald, so I’ll miss him for however long that is,” said Derek Carr. “With Brandon I think everyone knows about how we feel about him around here; he’s really good. I’m sure he had a couple plays as a rookie that he’d want back http://www.oaklandraidersteamonline.com/rodney-hudson-jersey , but you live with that. He’s tough, he’s very intelligent, so crazy looks and things like that aren’t going to mess with him. Which is good. He’s one of the smartest rookies I’ve ever been around. Miller had his trial by fire, facing the likes of rookie fifth overall pick Bradley Chubb in Denver, Robert Quinn in Miami, and Myles Garrett against the Browns. The past two weeks in particular, Miller has not fared well, allowing a lot of pressures as well as run stops. He and Parker will now see the likes of dynamic pass rusher Melvin Ingram in LA. Last season Ingram and Joey Bosa were in a race to get to the quarterback every game and both had double digit sacks. Lucky for the Raiders, Joey Bosa is not expected to play. The elite pass rusher has been out all season with a bone bruise. Though the Chargers will get defensive tackle Corey Liuget back, so that will help their pass rush. Regardless, it’s two rookies starting at the tackle spots which can be a bit scary.“You don’t feel like you have two rookies because they’re so talented, but at the end of the day they are and its something that we’ve got to do a good job of helping those guys out,” Carr added. Here is the updated look at the rest of the Raiders rookies starting with who saw the field Sunday against the Browns.ActiveKolton MillerPJ HallBrandon ParkerArden KeyNick NelsonMaurice HurstJohnny TownsendTrent SiegMatt McCraneInactiveNonePJ HallReturning from the ankle injury he suffered in the season opener, Hall was eased back in, seeing just 19 snaps. He didn’t record a stat, but he held his gap on a goal line play that stopped a run for no gain.Arden Key He still hasn’t gotten his first sack of the season, though he has been so close so many times. Even without the elusive sack to his credit, he had an outstanding game, including two clutch run stops — one for a loss at the goal line and one short of the sticks that would have won the game for the Browns. He still leads the team with 5 QB hits.Nick NelsonHe was active for the first time this season, but didn’t see the field on either defense or special teams.Maurice HurstSpeaking of players having their best game, Maurice Hurst. He was a beast against the Browns, with several key plays including a strip sack, a ball batted at the line, and a tackle in which he chased the runner all the way out left to stop him short of the first down. He now has 2.0 of the Raiders’ five sacks on the season.Johnny TownsendHe continues to be among the worst punters in the NFL this season. He’s still 24th in punt average (43.9), and his net averaged actually dropped a tenth of a yard to 40.2 which is 15th in the league. His 4 punts inside the 20 is 25th in the league. The lack of great field positions has been noticeable for the Raiders.Trent SiegAll conditions normal for Sieg. No news is good news for the long snapper.Matt McCraneThe undrafted rookie kicker was added last week. He was 3 of 5 in the game, missing a 47-yard field goal and a 50-yard field goal in overtime that would have won the game. Luckily he was given another chance and converted the short 29-yarder to win it. He also made one from 44 and 29.Relying on rookies at both tackle spots is not ideal, but here we are. Getting Hall back will help with the depth on the defensive line as he figures to continue to see more snaps. Arden Key and Maurice Hurst have both looked better each passing game and Key is so close to joining Hurst by getting a sack under his belt. The depth at cornerback is what’s keeping Nelson off the field. Townsend better step it up or he won’t be the Raiders’ punter very long.Follow @LeviDamien

Oddsmakers set over/under on Amari Cooper 2018 receiving yards On one hand http://www.raidersauthorizedshops.com/authentic-justin-ellis-jersey , wide receiver Amari Cooper is coming off his worst season in the NFL. On the other handhead coach Jon Gruden expects Cooper to be the “main vein” in the Raiders offense. Despite his top receiver status, the over/under odds for his 2018 regular season receiving yards don’t have him cracking the 1000-yard mark.BetDSI Sportsbook recently put out their odds and they have Amari Cooper with an over 975 yards (-125) and under 975 yards (-105). What this means is that if you bet $100 Cooper hits the 975-yard mark and he does, you would make $25 back on your original $100 investment. On the flip side, if you wager $100 Cooper misses the mark, you would only make $5 back. This bet means the over is slightly favored, which is odd considering Cooper has already topped 1,000 yards twice in his three-year career with the Silver & Black. Even still, 975 yards is well above Cooper’s 680 receiving yards last year. He spent the season battling through injuries allowing Michael Crabtree to be the featured receiver. With Crabtree in Baltimore, Cooper is once again the Raiders top option with Jordy Nelson starting across from him. Both should immensely benefit from the coaching switch to Gruden.Raiders preseason week 2 Ballers & Busters vs Rams Usually the second preseason has the first team play a bit more than the first preseason game. Something like a quarter or a few drives. But not this year. This year the Raiders were facing the same team they will face in the season opener, so neither team brought out the good china for the occasion.Even for the first preseason game we saw the first team offense and defense for a series. This game was a mass sit out with 28 players not dressing. The plus side is we got a longer look at some of the players fighting for a roster spot and for playing time. The result was some ugly, ugly football. The Raiders were scoreless at the half with just one first down with two turnovers. They managed to make a game of it late, but would end up losing 19-15.Despite to overall struggles to get out of their own way, there were actually quite a few solid performances. As usual, we start with those.BallersChris Warren IIITwo preseason games Rodney Hudson Jersey , two Top Baller spots. Warren was the workhorse back in this game, seeing 85% of the snaps and every carry. He was in the game from the first play to the last with only Jalen Richard seeing some time as a target out of the backfield. I guess they wanted to see if he could have a repeat performance of his preseason opener. He did that and kicked it up a notch. Most of Warren’s solid work came in the second half. Which makes sense because 13 of his 18 carries in the game happened in the second half. One drive in particular, the offense, after failing to get much of anything through the air all day, leaned on Warren to move down the field. He delivered with six runs for 41 yards and the touchdown to finish it off – his first as a pro.The following drive, he had a 13-yard run, 23 yards off a pitch play, and a 5-yard run to set the Raiders up for a 31-yard field goal. That’s another 41 yards and another score. The last 5-yard run put him over 100 yards on the day (104). He finished with 110 yards on 18 carries (6.1 ypc) and a touchdown. His only flaw was a couple times not picking up the blitz correctly.Paul ButlerButler quietly led the team in receiving with three catches for 35 yards. That tied with Jalen Richard who picked up most of those yards on a 29-yard catch in which Butler laid the key block. Most of Butler’s yards came on one play as well. It was a catch that went for 24 yards to help set up the Raiders’ first touchdown of the game. He added a block on a 5-yard run and got downfield on the final punt of the game, yielding a block in the back penalty that had the Rams starting their final possession backed up against their own goal line.Marquel LeeThe second-year linebacker is stacking up solid performances. In just 22 snaps, he put up 5 tackles (4 solo) which led the team at the half. He filled his gap on a run stuff and teamed up for another on the next play to send the Rams on a three-and-out on their second series.Lee added two more run stuff on the Rams fourth series, one for a loss. He also did his part on another run to fill his gap and force the runner to find another opening. His tackle for loss was on third and goal at the one-yard-line all the way out left. That was his last series of the game.Oday AboushiWhile Chris Warren III gets all the headlines for his long runs, it was blocking by guys like Aboushi opening up some sizable holes for him all day. Aboushi was a lead blocker on Warren runs of 5, 9, 8 Authentic Kelechi Osemele Jersey , 9, and his 3-yard touchdown run. For those unfamiliar, Aboushi is a 6-5, 315-pound journeyman who started 8 games last season in Seattle for Tom Cable. He was signed on the second day of Raiders training camp.Rashaan MelvinTwo of the first three plays for the Raiders defense were made by Melvin. He had tight coverage to force an incompletion on the first play, then on third and ten, made the tackle on a five-yard catch to force a three-and-out. He ended the next series as well with a pass defended on third and 7 for another three-and-out. He didn’t give up a catch on the long third drive and that was his day.Tank Carradine, Treyvon HesterHard to say how much either provides form a pass rushing standpoint, but as a run stopper, they were superb. The second play of the second series saw Hester hold his spot to allow the linebacker to make the stop for a 2-yard gain. On first and goal from the 5-yard-line on the Rams fourth drive, Hester and Carradine teamed up to make the stop for a two-yard gain. The next play, Hester made the stop for a 2-yard gain. Then on third and goal from the one, Carradine chased the QB down the line to cut of the edge so Lee could make the tackle for a loss of one. Hester would add two more run stuffs in the game while Carradine would make a tackle on a QB scramble on third down short of the sticks.Jason CabindaThe undrafted rookie had a rough first preseason game, but he rebounding in this one and finished leading the team with 6 tackles (3 solo). He made the tackle on three of the first six plays in the second quarter with a run stuff for two yards, a tackle in a short catch Youth Reggie Nelson Jersey , and another tackle on a catch to stop it at four yards on third and seven. He had two more run stops in the third quarter, one on third down to force a punt. And in the fourth quarter he teamed up for a run stuff for no gain.Shilique CalhounCalhoun was making his home in the Rams backfield. He would have been higher on this list if it weren’t for a couple costly stupid penalties. The first one was the first time we heard his name. It was on third and two and he hit the quarterback after the throw and was flagged for roughing the passer. That gave the Rams a fresh set of downs. For Calhoun’s part, he atoned for his mistake in those fresh downs, rushing around the edge to force the QB to step into a sack by Maurice Hurst. Then on third and 18, he hit the QB as he dumped the ball off for a short gain. The next series he had a tackle for a loss of three to help hold the Rams at a field goal.Calhoun would end his day as it began – with a big play and a costly penalty. With the Rams backed against their own goal line, he broke through the line to make a tackle for a loss of three. It was looking like they would have to punt it away out of their own end zone and give the Raiders one more shot at pulling out the win. That was snatched from them when Calhoun yanked on the running back’s facemask. The Rams were then able to kneel out the clock.Antonio HamiltonJust like Calhoun, Hamilton had a great day that was marred by a stupid penalty. His first potentially big play was on 4th and goal from the one-yard-line. He came up to put a helmet on the ball and knock it out of John Kelly’s arms for a fumble. Unfortunately, Kelly got a favorable bounce and recovered it in the end zone to score anyway. It could have gone the other way, though, and Hamilton did his part to make that happen. The next time the Rams were down and goal to go, Hamilton was again a thorn in John Kelly’s side. Kelly got the ball and tried the left side only to have Hamilton string him out all the way down the line, not giving an inch all the way out of bounds.Early in the third quarter came Hamilton’s stupid penalty. He made the stop on a short catch and then as the whistle blew to stop the play, he lifted up the receiver belly to back and slammed him to the turf. The penalty gave the Rams a first down well inside Oakland territory. Hamilton did his best to atone for it, having a pass defended followed by tight coverage for an incompletion on third and 13 that forced a field goal.James CowserHe had the one takeaway in the game for the Raiders. The Raiders had just pulled to withing seven points and on the first play of the next drive http://www.raidersauthorizedshops.com/authentic-gabe-jackson-jersey , Cowser dropped back, read the QB’s eyes, and had perfect position to pick off his pass. He returned it 15 yards and set the Raiders up at the LA 21-yard line. They scored a few plays later and opted to go for the lead, but the 2-point conversion failed and they remained down 16-15.Maurice HurstHurst’s first play was a run stop on third and goal from the 11-yard-line that ended the Rams drive at the end of the first half and forced them to settle for a field goal. His day was done at that point after 19 snaps. On the first drive of the third quarter, Hurst had his first sack as a Raider. Much like his draft classmate PJ Hall did last week, he got pressure up the middle and when pressure came from the outside, he was there to make the sack. That’s what the Raiders want from the two of them. Honorable MentionGareon Conley – played nine snaps and didn’t give up a catch.Nicholas Morrow – Was in on quite a few tackles, finishing 3rd on the team with 4 combined (2 solo).Jylan Ware – Laid key blocks on Warren runs of 13, 23, and 5 yards on the Raiders’ first two scoring drives. Also didn’t give up any pressures.Griff Whalen – Made the Raiders only touchdown reception, reaching back with one hand to make the catch at the goal line to put the Raiders within one in the fourth quarter.Continue to the Busters

Christian Jones Jersey

Erstellt 04.01.2019 05:51 von huangjian123 04.01.2019 05:51 In der Kategorie Investments.

Thursday open thread: Which Packers player—outside of Aaron Rodgers—scares you the most? The Green Bay Packers have been accused by many—including their own fans—of being a one-man team. Aaron Rodgers has been the face of that franchise for years now Womens Christian Jones Jersey , and so goes Rodgers, as do the Packers. When he’s on, the Packers are as dangerous as any other team in the NFL. We he’s off or injured, the Packers aren’t just mortal, they’re bad. His supporting cast has always seemed lackluster, which is likely why Rodgers only has a single championship to his name. But this year, the Packers went out and found themselves a new general manager, and although they’re off to just a modest 2-1-1 start, many believe there’s something different about this Packers team. There may be some more dangerous players on both sides of the ball that opposing coaches will have to account for. So today’s Question of the Day is:Which Packers player, outside of Aaron Rodgers, scares you most for?My answer: Aaron Jones. It’s no secret that the Detroit Lions’ run defense has been an absolute disaster thus far. They’ve made Matt Breida and Isaiah Crowell look like elite backs and Ezekiel Elliott look like... well, Ezekiel Elliott. Jones is exactly the type of back Detroit has been vulnerable to: a speedy, shifty guy that can test the edges of the defense. He’s had a modest start to the season after serving a two-game suspension. In Weeks 3 and 4, he combined for 17 carries, 107 rushing yards and a touchdown. The Packers like to spread their distribution in the backfield Authentic Jarrad Davis Jersey , but Jones’ 6.3 yards per carry may be enough to warrant more touches over Jamaal Williams (3.4 YPC) and Ty Montgomery (4.5 YPC). Rodgers is always a scary player to go up against, but he may not even have to be himself on Sunday if the Lions can’t stop Jones.Your turn.Tweets from https://twitter.com/PrideOfDetroit/lists/lions-coverage The Arizona Cardinals had hoped for the first winning streak of the season after a morale-boosting win at Green Bay in the snow last Sunday. But the Cardinals offense regressed in a 17-3 loss to the Detroit Lions on Sunday, which dropped Arizona to 3-10.The Cardinals gave up three sacks and struggled to deal with the Lions' pass rush, and they ran for just 61 yards as a team, averaging 2.9 yards per rush.In the end, their worn-down defense couldn't keep the Cardinals close in the final minutes."We didn't create any movement up front on the offensive side of the ball to generate some positive plays on first and second down," Cardinals coach Steve Wilks said."We have to do a much better job protecting the quarterback, allowing him to go through his progression. And we have to protect the football."Wilks said he was "extremely surprised" at his team's performance coming off the win at Lambeau Field."Great momentum, big win. We had a great week of practice," Wilks said. "We have to learn how to finish. That's what we didn't do."The Cardinals were able to avoid being blanked for the second time this season thanks to Zane Gonzalez's field goal in the fourth quarter. The offense sputtered with only five first downs in the first half and no points from its best drive, which ended in a missed 54-yard try from Gonzalez."Sometimes when you go three-and-out early, it's hard to get in any kind of rhythm," quarterback Josh Rosen said. The second half was only slightly better, but saw the Cardinals booed after a three-and-out late in the third quarter. The fans cheered loudest for the continuation of longtime wide receiver Larry Fitzgerald's streak of games with at least one catch, which is up to 224.Fitzgerald figured to be more of a focal point with Christian Kirk out for the season because of a broken foot. But Fitzgerald 鈥?who became the NFL leader for most receptions with one team at 1 Authentic Frank Ragnow Jersey ,286 鈥?had one catch through three quarters."Obviously we had an awareness on him," Lions coach Matt Patricia said. "We know he is going to get the ball. We know he is going to get open in critical situations. You saw that as the game was going on and they got back to him and he was able to make great plays. You just kind of hold your breath the whole time because he can change the game in a second."Down 3-0 in the third quarter, the Cardinals had three straight first downs on their second possession of the second half. Then Rosen was intercepted by the Lions' Darius Slay, who returned the ball 67 yards for a touchdown."It'll be a frustrating Monday," Rosen said, looking ahead to breaking down the offense on film, "but a Monday that needs to happen."On the drive for the field goal, the Cardinals 鈥?looking for some way to get points 鈥?tried a direct snap to rookie running back Chase Edmonds on first and goal from the Detroit 8, but it resulted in a holding penalty that backed them up 10 yards.Arizona had to settle for Gonzalez's 22-yard field goal with 8:14 to play. The Cardinals finished with eight penalties for 83 yards.Still trailing only 10-3, the Cardinals still had a chance. But the Lions handed the ball off to running back Zach Zenner seven times on a drive, the seventh carry was a 1-yard touchdown that sealed Detroit's win."We have to be able to muster up more than three points," Fitzgerald said. "Converting more consistently on third downs and extending drives would be huge."

Detroit Lions approval poll: Bob Quinn (October 2018) When we last touched base about Detroit Lions general manager Bob Quinn http://www.lionscheapstore.com/t.j.-lang-jersey-cheap , people were steaming mad. The Lions were 0-2, and a couple of Quinn’s second round picks—A’Shawn Robinson and Teez Tabor—weren’t making the slightest of contributions. As a result, the GM polled in at just a 26 percent approval rate, his lowest by over 40 percentage points. Since that game, the Lions have gone 2-1, and Quinn’s rookie class has been a big part of that. Frank Ragnow has locked down the left guard position nicely Youth Ricky Jean Francois Jersey , Kerryon Johnson is arguably the best rookie running back right now, Tracy Walker has made nice plays in a limited role, and Da’Shawn Hand is a beast. But before we get into this week’s approval poll, let’s look back at Quinn’s history with the fanbase:September 2018: 26 percent approvalMay 2018: 89 percent approvalMarch 2018: 83 percent approval February 2018: 92 percent approvalNovember 2017: 78 percent approvalOctober 2017: 82 percent approvalAugust 2017: 95 percent approvalJune 2017: 93 percent approvalApril 2017: 97 percent approvalFebruary 2017: 93 percent approvalDecember 2016: 96 percent approvalAugust 2016: 70 percent approvalJune 2016: 86 percent approvalApril 2016: 74 percent approvalFebruary 2016: 72 percent approvalIn addition to the emergence of Quinn’s impressive rookie class, a few of the team’s most puzzling moves have turned out for the better. One of the most hated decisions by Quinn was adding Romeo Okwara for Anthony Zettel, but Lions fans have quickly forgotten about redwood trees’ No. 1 enemy after Okwara’s two-sack performance against the Packers. But we can’t pretend here that Quinn is a flawless mastermind. One of his most notable free agency signings this offseason—Sylvester Williams—has lost his starting job already and played in just one snap against the Packers. And while guys like Kenny Golladay and Jamal Agnew have played well above their draft position Youth Michael Roberts Jersey , a few picks still stick out as potential busts. Teez Tabor, Miles Killebrew and Jarrad Davis have yet to live up to expectations, and the clock is running out for a couple of those guys. So putting that all together, are you confident that Bob Quinn is the right man for the job? Do you think he’s doing enough as the Detroit Lions general manager? Bears rout the Bills Tavon Wilson Jersey , 41-9The Bears are a prime example of what it’s like to not have to rely on your offense to do much of anything and still win games. I am supremely jealous of their talented defense. Bills quarterbacks have thrown for a combined three touchdowns all year. They threw two passes that resulted in a touchdown for the other team on Sunday. You have to hand it to the Bears for handling their last two opponents with ease. Sure, we expected them to win the last two, but no game is a guarantee and they didn’t just win, they dished out back-to-back beatdowns. It hurts to say this, but the Bears are in good shape to win the division this year, especially if they can at least split with the Lions over the next three weeks. They also have the Giants and 49ers on their schedule still, though they are both away games.Next game: @ Lions (3-5)Vikings handle Lions with ease Authentic Matt Prater Jersey , win 24-9We all know what happened in this one. If you want to torture yourself and relive this disaster of a football game, then you can read the rest of the site. But right now, we’re going to keep this short and purely centered around the Vikings. The Vikings’ defense is really good, especially their defensive line. Their offense is really good, too. The Vikings are a good football team. Next game: @ Bears (5-3)Patriots pull away late, hand the Packers their fourth road loss, 31-17The Packers are now 0-4 on the road and 3-0-1 at home. According to ESPN’s win probability Youth Nevin Lawson Jersey , Green Bay was nearly a 60 percent favorite to win the game to start the fourth quarter while it was tied at 17-17. But unfortunately for them, they had no answer for the Patriots’ late offensive surge, and didn’t score a single point the rest of the game. Aaron Rodgers struggled with only 259 yards on 42 attempts (6.0 yards per attempt) and couldn’t keep up with with the GOAT. This marks Green Bay’s second loss in a row and things could get worse for them as their next three opponents all have winning records (Dolphins, Seahawks and Vikings), with two of those games on the road. The Packers are also dealing with a lot of injuries currently, with many coming in Sunday night’s game. Linebacker Blake Martinez, cornerback Kevin King and safety Kentrell Price all suffered injuries against the Patriots and did not return. Jaire Alexander left the game briefly http://www.lionsauthorizedshops.com/authentic-taylor-decker-jersey , but would return. Wide receiver Geronimo Allison is also out with a core muscle injury and could be a candidate for the IR.Next game: vs. Dolphins (5-4)NFC North Week 9 Standings1. Chicago Bears (5-3)2. Minnesota Vikings (5-3-1)3. Green Bay Packers (3-4-1)4. Detroit Lions (3-5)Two weeks ago, I was pretty excited about the opportunity for the Lions and thought they had a real shot at the division. Now, after two ugly losses in back-to-back weeks, I’d say it’ll take a miracle for them to win the North. Sweeping the Bears would be a nice start, but I’m not liking their chances right now. Despite being in second currently, I think the division is still Minnesota’s to lose. They are just too good on paper and are much more balanced than the Bears, who are still having their struggles offensively. The Bears and Vikings face off for the first time all year in two weeks Authentic Sylvester Williams Jersey , which should be an interesting battle. That game has also been flexed into the Sunday Night Football slot.Three things we learned in the Detroit Lions win over the Green Bay Packers A wacky first half allowed the Detroit Lions to take control of their Week 5 game against the Green Bay Packers early and they never looked back. Here’s a few things we learned in the Lions divisional win.Kenny Golladay is this team’s WR1As I wrote about earlier this week, second year receiver Kenny Golladay has been the offense’s best player this season. The receiver was Matthew Stafford’s favorite target on the day and was a key piece in Detroit’s domination. Golladay was targeted nine times—six times in the first half—for four receptions and 98 yards. While Golden Tate eventually surpassed his reception total late in the game, they came on shorter passes while the Lions were trying to ice the game. Detroit was making an effort to make sure the ball was getting into his hands. With the way he has been performing recently it’s easy to see why. Detroit is making an effort to get Kerryon Johnson involved. The first drive an NFL offense plays in any game is a scripted drive that they had memorized and worked on throughout the week. Everything is predetermined and put through a flowchart to make sure the team can get off to a good start. On their first drive Sunday the Lions handed the ball off to rookie running back Kerryon Johnson three times and he was targeted by Stafford on an out route out of the backfield. This shows that the Lions really want him to get involved. Four touches on the scripted drive means Detroit sees him as an incredibly valuable to the offense. An early injury cut his game short but he still finished with 12 carries for 70 yards along with two receptions for 15. It is still unknown the severity of the injury he suffered, but assuming he returns to the lineup soon, his share of the touches should only get bigger. The Lions have fixed their short-yardage issuesDetroit’s inability to convert on third and fourth-and-1 have haunted this team over the past couple of years. These issues seem to be all but buried. Running back LeGarrette Blount converted a third-and-1 on the ground early in the game to keep the offense moving. He later scored two 1-yard touchdowns to get the Lions out to an early lead. While Blount has been awful in basically every other situation, he has thrived in the areas Detroit needed him to the most. With Johnson grabbing more and more carries on a week-to-week basis—assuming he’s healthy—Blount’s role may be marginalized to just these situations. He has done the job he was brought to Detroit to do and that is huge for the Lions offense going forward.

The Cowboys were missing nine players at practice on Wednesday Authentic Julio Jones Jersey , but at least one of them is expected back in action at Thursday’s session.Head coach Jason Garrett said during an appearance on 105.3 The Fan that left tackle Tyron Smith is set to return to the field ahead of Sunday’s game against the Falcons. Garrett said that Smith was held out of Wednesday’s practice because of back spasms. The Cowboys have other injury issues on the offensive line with right guard Zack Martin dealing with a knee injury he picked up in last Sunday’s win over the Eagles and left guard Connor Williams coming back from the knee issue that kept him from playing. Martin didn’t practice Wednesday, but was able to return to action in Philly. Williams did practice in limited fashion Wednesday.Atlanta sacked Dak Prescott eight times in last year’s matchup, which took place without Smith so the positive turn in his health is sure to be reassuring to the Cowboys as they try to put together consecutive wins for the first time this season. LeBron James scored 44 points in the Lakers’ 126-117 over the Trail Blazers on Wednesday night. In doing so, he passed Wilt Chamberlain for No. 5 on the NBA’s all-time leading scorer’s list.James recorded the historic basket with just under four minutes to go in the fourth quarter, driving by Jake Layman to knock down the floater plus the foul. He rounded the night out with 10 rebounds, nine assists and three blocks. It was James’ best game since signing a four-year deal in Los Angeles over the summer.James has extended his prime longer than many playing careers last in an entirety. He’s kept his body in tip-top shape, dedicating seven figures to his health, well being and bodily upkeep annually. As a result, at age 33 — soon to be 34 — he hasn’t slowed down a beat. “I’ve done something right in my career, and I give it all to the man above for giving me these God-given abilities,” he said while walking to the locker room. “And I’ve taken full advantage of it, so I give all the credit to my coaching staff, my teammates all through these 16 years. It’s all about hard work, man.”James continues to find new ways to score, even though he entered the league as a playmaker and not a scorer. Now Authentic Deion Jones Jersey , he finds himself high up on the leaderboards. The only question left is how high can he go?Can LeBron James catch Kareem Abdul-Jabbar?Let’s take a look at the NBA’s all-time leading scorer’s list, which features some of the best to ever play the game:Kareem Abdul-Jabbar: 38,387 points (that’s a lot of buckets)Karl Malone: 36,928 points (also a lot of buckets)Kobe Bryant: 33,643 points (not as many buckets, but still quite a few)Michael Jordan: 32,292 points (a moderate amount of buckets)LeBron James: 31,425 points (very few buckets)That’s a 6,962-point gap between fifth place and first place — or 22.2 points per game over the 314 remaining regular-season games on James’ four-year deal in Los Angeles. It’s doable. Barring any major injuries, actually, it’s likely.James has played every game this season, including three sets of back-to-backs. He is averaging 27.6 points per game. If he maintains a 27 point-per-game scoring average through the remaining 68 games on the schedule, he’ll score an additional 1,836 points. That would give James 33,261 career points Black Brian Poole Jersey , moving him past Jordan and within striking distance of Bryant. And that’s just in Year 1James is both aging and expected to attract other superstars to Los Angeles next summer. Both factors could contribute to a lower scoring average next season. Let’s call it one fewer point per game.If James averages 26 points per game next season and plays 80 out of 82 games, that would give him an additional 2,080 points. After Year 2 in Los Angeles, provided he maintains that level of production, James would be sitting third all-time in front of Bryant and behind Malone with 35,341 points. After Year 2?Using that same logic, it would be miraculous for 36-year-old LeBron James to continue averaging that many points per game. But James is an all-time great in large part due to the shape he’s kept his body in. If in Year 3 in L.A., James could find himself averaging 24 points per game and over 77 games. He would add an additional 1,848 points to his scoring total. That would send him past Malone and behind only Abdul-Jabbar with 37,189 points. James would only be trailing Kareem by 1,198 points. And in Year 4?If James enters his fourth season in Los Angeles with 37,266 points, he would only need to average 14.6 points per game over 82 games — or 17.1 points per game over 70 games — to make that many points up in Year 4. A healthy 37-year-old LeBron James could average 18-to-20 points per game in his sleep. Barring any major injuries, he should be able to catch Kareem Abdul-Jabbar and claim the top spot on the NBA’s all-time leading scorer’s list. And that’s if his scoring totals decrease over the years... not if they stay the same.

For all the dumb things the Giants did down the stretch on Monday night as they tried to erase an 11-point deficit Black Logan Paulsen Jersey , they did something smart after scoring a touchdown while down by 14 earlier in the fourth quarter: They went for two.Far more amazing than the decision from Giants coach Pat Shurmur to try to cut the score from 20-12 to 20-14 was the fact that every member of the ESPN announcing crew had no idea that the reason for going for two had nothing to do with the kicker possibly being injured or Shurmur pulling the idea out of thin air and/or his butt. Little more than two weeks ago, Eagles coach Doug Pederson did the exact same thing, and the issue became framed, dissected, and fully explained.MDS wrote the article at PFT. In lieu of cutting and paste our own content (after all, we only cut and paste content generated by others), here’s the link. It’s a simple exercise in analytics, and it’s somewhat amazing that it took the NFL’s teams nearly 25 years to realize that the smart play while down 14 late after scoring a touchdown is indeed to go for two.The logic is simple. If you kick the extra point (which is no longer a gimme), you’re still down by seven. So if you score another touchdown (and kick the extra point), you go to overtime. If you go for two and make it, another touchdown plus an extra point delivers a potential win in regulation. If you go for two and fail, you can still force overtime by scoring again and going for two.The broader goal is to avoid overtime, where victory is a 50-50 proposition that hinges in many respects on winning the 50-50 coin toss. Overtime also adds wear and tear to the players, which becomes more of a problem when playing another game on a short week.Bottom line: The numbers favor the approach. And that’s why Shurmur did it. If the Eagles hadn’t done it 15 days ago http://www.authenticsatlantafalcons.com/cheap-andy-levitre-jersey , the level of confusion from Joe Tessitore, Jason Witten, and Booger McFarland would have been understandable. Post-Eagles, there’s no reason to be confused as to why a team that scores a touchdown while down 14 points goes for two. It’s one thing to have a different opinion, even if the statistics don’t support it. It’s quite another to be clueless as to why a team would go for two in that spot.Moving forward, here’s hoping that more media and fans will understand why it happens when it happens. Although Shurmur deserves plenty of criticism for how he handled the game after that point, he shouldn’t be criticized for going for two. It’s a strategy founded in analytics, and it’s something that more teams should do.Maybe as more teams do it, more media and fans will understand why. Now that it’s happened twice this month, hopefully the announcers won’t act like they’ve just seen a three-eyed fish the next time it occurs. The Falcons haven’t had a three game stretch like this on defense since 2003 The Atlanta Falcons are on a run of defensive ineptitude that I’d like to say we’ve never seen before. Sadly, though, we have. The last time the Falcons allowed 36-plus points in three straight weeks, they were in the midst of a seven game losing streak back in 2003, the year that would get Dan Reeves fired. During that run Black Austin Hooper Jersey , where they lost 39-26, 36-0, and 45-17 to the Vikings, Rams, and Saints, the Falcons had a far more inept offense but still a brutally bad D. The Falcons wound up going 5-11 that year, winning two of their final three games with Wade Phillips at the helm, and that team had few parallels to the Atlanta squad of 2018. This year’s team is a much better offense with a defense that was longer on talent before injuries, but the end result might be much the same. Of course, we remember that the 2004 Falcons made a genuine playoff run a year after that ugly 2003, and we’ll hope for much the same in 2019. If, of course, the Falcons don’t manage to pull off that miraculous turnaround here in 2018.

The Seahawks continued the trend of home teams winning on Thursday Night Football as they beat the Packers Matt Ryan Jersey Limited , 27-24, in Seattle. It was an exciting game to kick off Week 11 in the NFL, but Aaron Rodgers was unable to lead a game-winning drive as the Packers punted away the ball while trailing by three with 4:20 on the clock and never saw the ball again on offense. Russell Wilson and the Seahawks squeaked out a win and evened their record to 5-5.Here’s a by-the-numbers look to catch you up on all the action and explain how the Seahawks came away with the victory.15:00: On the first play of the game, Chris Carson fumbled away the ball for the Seahawks. The Packers quickly took advantage with a three-play, 29-yard drive that ended in an Aaron Jones touchdown run. It ended up being the only turnover in the game.47: Yards on a Mason Crosby missed field goal in the first quarter. It would have given the Packers a 10-0 lead. It also was the difference in a loss or a potential tie score at the end of the game. The Packers are certainly wishing they had those three points now that they’re 4-5-1 on the season.54: Rodgers threw a beautiful 54-yard touchdown pass to Robert Tonyan. If you’re asking yourself, “who’s Robert Tonyan?” you’re not alone. He had never caught a pass in the NFL prior to the touchdown score. The undrafted rookie went to Indiana State and landed the final tight end roster spot in Green Bay after an impressive preseason.6: Opportunities in the red zone on a single drive before the Seahawks scored their first touchdown of the game. It started with no gain on first-and-8, then there was a Packers face mask penalty, followed by a Seahawks false start, then a 1-yard gain, an incomplete pass, and ultimately a 6-yard Doug Baldwin touchdown catch.100%: The Seahawks went for it on fourth down twice in the first half and converted on both opportunities. The first was a fourth-and-1 play on which Carson ran for 10 yards and the second was to close out the half. Wilson threw a 15-yard pass, but it wasn’t enough for a touchdown as time ran out. The halftime score was 21-17 in the Packers’ favor.156.2: Rodgers was nearly perfect in the first half. He completed 12 of 16 passes for 214 yards and two touchdowns. His first-half passer rating was just six-tenths of a point shy of perfect.3.0: All three of the sacks that brought down Wilson came from Packers linebacker Kyler Fackrell, who had a great game. He tied a Packers record for most games in a single season with 3+ sacks, as Thursday was the second time he’s done that this season.5.0: The Seahawks sacked Rodgers five times, two of which came from Frank Clark.48: The Packers only had 48 rushing yards http://www.atlantafalconsteamonline.com/matt-ryan-jersey , which is odd considering how productive Aaron Jones was in the first half. Jones ran the ball 11 times for 40 yards and a touchdown and caught five passes for 63 yards and a touchdown. By the end of the second quarter he had scored two touchdowns, but in the second half, he totaled just 21 rushing yards and 2 receiving yards. The Packers had the lead for nearly all of the second half, so the decision to abandon the run doesn’t make much sense.4.9: While Jones had 40 yards, Carson averaged 4.9 yards per carry. Despite getting off to a shaky start with his fumble, Carson returned with better results for the Seahawks following the first drive. He finished with 83 yards and a touchdown, while Rashaad Penny contributed with 46 yards on eight carries.7: The Seahawks have rushed for 150+ yards in seven straight games, which is tied for the third-longest streak in the last 40 seasons, according to ESPN Stats & Info.57: Rodgers one-upped his 54-yard touchdown pass earlier in the game with a 57-yard throw to Davante Adams. It didn’t result in a touchdown, but it was a spectacular play. A few plays later, the Packers had to settle for a field goal as they were unable to get another first down on the drive.3: The lead changed three times in the game. The Packers had the first lead, the Seahawks stole it away in the second quarter, and the Packers reclaimed it before halftime. The Seahawks then re-captured the lead again in the fourth quarter after no one scored in the third. Seattle held on and won the game.1: That’s how many timeouts Mike McCarthy had left in the fourth quarter, which resulted in him not challenging a play he should have challenged at the end of the game. That was a 34-yard pass to Tyler Lockett that it looked like he caught at first glance. But upon further review, the ball was clearly seen hitting and moving on the ground.Three plays later Calvin Ridley Jersey Limited , the Seahawks scored the game-winning touchdown.27-24: The final score in an exciting game between two teams that have a sticky history. That includes Matt Hasselbeck’s OT declaration in the playoffs, the “Fail Mary” game, and the January 2015 NFC Championship game. Maybe this game will grow to be known for McCarthy’s decision not to throw the challenge flag.Falcons will start Jordan Richards at strong safety vs. Carolina The Falcons have thrown a curve ball with how they’ll address Keanu Neal’s absence at strong safety. D. Orlando Ledbetter of the Atlanta Journal-Constitution saw that strong safety Jordan Richards was running with the first team pre-game, indicating he’s likely to get the start. The former Patriot came over for a conditional seventh before the season began and was assumed to just be decent depth. But in wake of Neal’s injury, the team had to find someone to fill that void, at least partially. The word before Sunday was that Damontae Kazee would play free safety while Ricardo Allen would slide over to Neal’s spot, among other coverage ideas, but now, it looks like we’ll be getting a healthy dose of Richards. It’s also quite possible that Richards will be on the field in obvious run situations, where he’s a more useful player, and that Kazee will rotate on when the Falcons are in nickel. If so, Richards will be a starter in name only. His reputation coming from Foxborough comes with some reasons for trepidation, but Atlanta will need him to step up and play his best ball as the team faces a crucial divisional game against the Panthers. We’ll know soon enough if he answers the call.

Big game in Big D: What to watch for against the Cowboys Sunday’s game in Dallas is a big one鈥?well Youth Benson Mayowa Jersey , as big as a preseason game can be, anyway. Even though the two teams no longer play in the same division, Cardinals fans still have a lingering distaste for the Cowboys. The game is also the Sunday night game this week, meaning it will be nationally televised. But, most importantly, it’s also the “dress rehearsal” game, so we’ll likely see the starters play the entire first half. This is as close to regular season football as we’ll get until September. With that in mind, there will be a lot of eyes on the Cardinals this week. So, what should Cardinals fans be on the lookout for in Big D? I’ve identified five things to key on for this third—and most important—preseason game.1. Sam BradfordThis is an easy one. How our new starting QB looks is critical to our season prospects. Bradford had a cup of coffee in the first game against the Chargers and little more than a cameo last week against the Saints. But he has looked good in limited playing time—7/7 for 67 yards and two TD drives in four series. His last drive against the Saints was especially impressive—completion for 15 yards, completion for 12 yards, completion for 17 yards, completion for 6 yards, easy David Johnson rushing TD.Facing a weaker defense than either Los Angeles or New Orleans, he should be able to keep the momentum going. Obviously he won’t complete 100% of his passes again, but 65% is a good target. (Although note that he was a 70% passer during his time in Minnesota.) It will also be worth monitoring how he distributes the ball—against the Saints, each of his completions was to a different receiver. This is especially important given the uncertainty about the WR depth chart behind Fitz.2. The WRs Behind Larry FitzgeraldIt’s been hard to gauge the WR depth chart thus far this preseason for a few reasons. One is that the presumptive ,1# Brice Butler, has barely played—9 snaps against the Chargers and none against the Saints as he dealt with a foot injury. (Butler was back at practice on Wednesday and is expected to play against his old team this weekend.)The most impressive WR this preseason, rookie Christian Kirk, figures to mostly play in the slot, a position occupied on most downs by Fitz, which further complicates things. The other two WRs who seem to be locks for the final 53—J.J. Nelson and Chad Williams—have been up and down thus far. (Although both had nice games against the Saints.) Jalen Tolliver and Trent Sherfield have both had their moments this preseason, but neither are a sure thing to make the regular season roster. (Greg Little has鈥?little chance of making the roster after an unimpressive first two preseason contests.)The game in Dallas will be the first time we’ll have our full complement of WRs available for extending playing time. If Butler can move the chains a couple times, Nelson makes a splash play or two, and Williams builds on his encouraging performance last week, I’ll feel a lot better about our WR depth. If not, newly reinstated GM Steve Keim might have to dip into the free agent pool after the September cutdown.3. Run BlockingThe Redbirds O-line has done an admirable job protecting our QBs this preseason, only giving up 2 sacks thus far (including none last week on 32 attempts). Run blocking has been a different story, however. After an dominant first series against the Chargers, it’s been tough going for the Redbirds offensive line since then—our RBs have totaled 93 yards on 45 carries since then (a Chris Johnson-esque 2.1 YPC). A lot of that is the backups, yes Tre Boston Jersey , but 1) O-linemen get hurt so backups are important Tre Boston Jersey , and 2) DJ went for 6 carries and only 22 yards last week (3.7 YPC). We want our RBs to have nice, clear running lanes, not have to body surf over ineffective blockers. While it’s clear that our O-line is still gelling in the running game, the Cowboys will be a good test (8th in total rushing yards against but 18th in YPC). If Bradford and the short passing game can spread the defense out and keep the LBs honest with play-fakes, it’ll make the OLs job a lot easier. OC Mike McCoy can also move personnel around to create mismatches if our blockers need a bit extra help. I’d love to see us be able to get northwards of 120 yards on the ground as a team this week.4. Run DefenseOther than some garbage-time heroics from Geno Smith in the first game, there has been very little reason to worry about the Cardinals defense thus far. We’ve racked up 8 sacks and 4 INTs in two games, holding each of our opponents to less than 20 points. Steve Wilks and DC Al Holcomb have to like what they’ve seen thus far.Except for our run defense, that is. After holding the Chargers to a good-not-great 97 yards on 24 carries (4.0 YPC), our front seven was gouged for 183 yards on 28 attempts (6.5 YPC) in New Orleans. Six different Saints logged a rush of at least 12 yards, including two different QBs.Those numbers should be a big cause for concern as we prepare to face the Cowboys, who feature one of the best RBs in the game (Ezekiel Elliott) and a QB who’s dangerous when he tucks it and runs (Dak Prescott). This is even more worrisome knowing that the Redbirds are dealing with injuries at the DT position. Will the Cardinals be able to contain the Cowboys rushing attack? The key may simply be loading up the box and daring them to throw—Dallas has one of the least-imposing WR rooms in the league. But if Elliott and Prescott are able to run wild even against loaded fronts, we may be in for a long night鈥?and a long season.5. PenaltiesYes, it’s preseason—a lot of rookies and scrubs are playing, the refs and players are getting used to new rules, and the guys at the end of the depth chart are doing all they can to make that big play. So it’s expected that there will be more penalties than normal, and the numbers might not mean that much. Still Authentic Josh Bynes Jersey , it’s worth pointing out that the Redbirds have had 10+ penalties for 100+ yards in each of the first two preseason games. Steve Wilks isn’t happy.Last week in the Superdome, we had 4 false starts and a delay of game penalty—and we have yet another road game in a dome this week. We’ve also had several penalties on special teams. (I suppose we just have to hope the NFL fixes the helmet tackle rule before the regular season starts.) Penalties should be a point of emphasis this week. Let’s hope the Redbirds can button up these issues so we’re not giving away yards and first downs when the games start counting for real.Final ThoughtsThese are the areas I’ll be watching on Sunday night—most of them on the offensive side of the ball. What about the rest of you Cardinals fans—what are you watching for? Any specific concerns? Predictions for the game? Let us know what you’re looking for in Big D in the comments! The injury news could have been worse regarding Matt Breida, but it appears the San Francisco 49ers will be without their top running back for at least one game.Breida underwent an MRI on Monday that showed a "serious sprain" to his left ankle, according to coach Kyle Shanahan. That likely will sideline Breida for next Monday night's game at Green Bay."It was positive news that it wasn't a high ankle sprain, (but) he'll probably end up being doubtful this week," Shanahan said.As the 49ers look to rebound from Sunday's deflating 28-18 home loss to the Arizona Cardinals, they'll probably have to do so without the player who's been their best offensive weapon, so far.Breida ranks fifth in the NFL with 369 rushing yards, and his 7.5 yards per carry average leads the league among those with at least 25 rushing attempts. He enjoyed a terrific first quarter Sunday before leaving with his ankle injury.Breida has been a bright spot for the struggling 49ers (1-4), who lost projected starting running back Jerick McKinnon to a torn ACL in the preseason and then watched No. 1 quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo suffer the same season-ending injury in Week 3 against Kansas City.Without Breida, the 49ers would lean heavily on veteran Alfred Morris, who has shared ball-carrying duties with Breida and is more of a between-the-tackles runner.Raheem Mostert is third on the depth chart, but he's more of a special-teams contributor and he fumbled his first carry Sunday after Breida left the game.It wasn't a surprise that the 49ers brought in several running backs for workouts Monday afternoon. One of them was Jeremy McNichols, who was among San Francisco's training camp cuts this summer.Shanahan said the team would decide later in the week whether to sign a running back. Another option is promoting Jeff Wilson from the practice squad if Breida can't play Monday at Green Bay.The 49ers will take a two-day break before returning to the practice field Thursday to begin preparing for their prime-time game against the Packers.Figure a point of emphasis will be protecting the ball better, after San Francisco committed five turnovers in Sunday's loss to the previously winless Cardinals. It was the most turnovers for the 49ers since they had five against Seattle on Sept. 15, 2013.But another challenge for Shanahan is keeping his players mentally focused. Many viewed the 49ers as a potential playoff team before the season. Instead Youth Andy Lee Jersey , they've lost four of their first five games and suffered a psychological blow when Garoppolo went down."It's different in this day and age where you hear everything," Shanahan said. "It's hard to simplify your world. And with social media, when guys go home, even if guys don't listen to things, their wives do. Their girlfriends do. Their brothers do."When you go through that stuff and don't meet outside expectations, it starts to affect you. And I just try to constantly preach to our guys to be stronger than that, to try to not pay attention to that, because that's not going to help you solve any problems."NOTES: Receiver/punt returner Dante Pettis (left knee) already has been ruled out for a second consecutive game. Several others will be re-evaluated once the team returns to practice Thursday. They include receiver Marquise Goodwin (quad, hamstring), left tackle Joe Staley (knee), center Weston Richburg (knee), tight end George Kittle (knee) and cornerback Jimmie Ward (hamstring).

Youth Larry Fitzgerald Jersey

It is time for Monday Night Football and of course an exciting matchup with one of the best young quarterbacks in the NFL.Here is everything you need to know about tonight’s matchup.Who: Kansas City Chiefs (3-0) at Denver Broncos (2-1)Location: Broncos Stadium at Mile High in Denver Youth Larry Fitzgerald Jersey , ColoradoGame time: Monday, October 1, 2018 | 5:15 p.m. Arizona TimeChannel: ESPNAnnouncers: Joe Tessitore (play-by-play), Jason Witten (analyst), Booger McFarland (analyst), and Lisa Salters (sideline reporting).Online Streaming: Watch ESPNNFL Game PassRadio: Xtra 910amOdds: Chiefs -3.5Over/Under: 53.5Patrick Mahomes has been a revelation through the first three games, throwing 13 touchdowns to no interceptions through his first three games as the Chiefs sit undefeated and as one of the most exciting teams in football to watch.Meanwhile, the Broncos are winning games through the first three weeks of the season, but the question will be, did they make the right move at the quarterback position?Case Keenum has only three touchdown passes on the season, all three coming in their week one win over the Seattle Seahawks, and has five interceptions on the season.Chiefs 34Broncos 24Who you got tonight?Fitzgerald and Peterson Walk Into History Following the Cardinals’ mandatory minicamp http://www.authenticsarizonacardinals.com/cheap-phil-dawson-jersey , globetrotters Larry Fitzgerald and Patrick Peterson flew to Scotland to play at The Old Course in St. Andrew’s, the hallowed links-style course nestled beside the wind-swept waters of the Firth of Fife where centuries ago the game of golfbegan. As they crossed the iconic Swilken Bridge on the 18th hole, one can imagine the two Cardinals were thinking of the famous champions who traversed that bridge on their wayto hosting the Claret Jug—-which some consider to be the Holy Grail of all sports trophies. The American winners at the Old Course is a Hall of Fame in itself with champions such as Bobby Jones, Sam Snead, Jack Nicklaus, John Daly and Tiger Woods. It must have been a surreal feeling for Fitz and Pat P. to walk up that 18th in utter and complete silence—-no crowds, no roaring grandstands, no standing ovations. Yet, the whispers of the fabled ghosts of the past must have raised goosebumps—-that and the bone chillingScotland winds that blow the seaside gorse sideways and make the fairways fast as tabletops. In the back of their minds may have been a stunning juxtaposition of the thought of playing the upcoming season in the national spotlight before millions of rabid fans and jam packed stadiums. Come Sunday September 9th at the University of Phoenix Stadium, Larry Fitzgerald resumes his 15 year gallop up the NFL WR record books and Patrick Peterson continues his quest to make his 8th straight Pro Bowl which at 29 years old (on July 11th) would tie him with Cardinals’ Hall of Famers Larry Wilson and Aeneas Williams. While some may scoff at this notion, the game game of golf is actually an excellent preparation for one’s vocations and for life itself. Golf is the ultimate humbler—-and it is a game which challenges every fiber of one’s integrity. Ultimately, golf forces a player to be completely honest with himself http://www.authenticsarizonacardinals.com/cheap-jamar-taylor-jersey , even to the point of assessing oneself a one shot penalty if the Scottish gales cause the ball to move while the player is addressing it. Golf, like life, isn’t always fair. It requires constant resiliency. It is also one of the world’s most formidable three to four hours tests of focus and stamina—-much like the game of football. This weekend at Carnoustie Golf Links in Angus, Scotland an international field of the world’s top 156 golfers are playing in the 147th Open Championship. As I am writing this during the rain swept second round, the surprise co-leaders are Americans Zach Johnson and Kevin Kisner, with England’s young star TommyFleetwood one stroke behind and Irish superstar, Rory McIroy two behind. The number one ranked golfer in the world, USA’s Dustin Johnson, just finished the 2nd round at +6 and is not going to make the cut. The second ranked golfer, USA’s Justin Thomas, carded a 6 over 77 today and at +4 is teetering on the cut line. Here’s my point—-there are going to be several surprises this season in the NFL. Last year, who ever thought the Eagles would win it all Youth Chandler Jones Jersey , especially with Nick Foles at QB, and that the Jaguars under QB Blake Bortles would have the lead late in the 4th quarter at Gillette Stadium in the AFC Championship game? This is the great thing about new seasons and new opportunities. The Arizona Cardinals have been given the lowest odds of any team in the NFL to make the playoffs. However, the Cardinals have two players in Fitzgerald and Peterson who are making history and if they have their way—-so will the team. Fitzgerald was recently asked by the Minnesota media whether he will want to be a Viking in 2019, to which Fitzgerald said, ‘If I’m not playing in Arizona, I’m not playing anywhere.” When the elated Arizona Cardinals sent Fitz’s quote out in a tweet, Patrick Peterson retweeted it with the hashtag #Larry Legend. After all, Fitz and Pat P. want to keep walking together into history and carry the Cardinals on their backs, if necessary.

Rookie Sam Hubbard was disappointed as Ryan Tanneh

Erstellt 02.01.2019 03:33 von panxing18 02.01.2019 03:33 In der Kategorie Investments.

ill slipped past him Authentic Harrison Butker Jersey , avoiding a sack. A moment later, the football slipped out of the quarterback's grasp and flew right to Hubbard, who was as surprised as anyone to have it in his hands."All I had to do was run straight," Hubbard said.Straight into the end zone he went on a 19-yard fumble return , yet another wacky play that completed Cincinnati's indescribable comeback. The Bengals scored 27 straight points and rallied for a 27-17 victory over the Miami Dolphins on Sunday that extended their best start since 2015 鈥?the last time they made the postseason. This one is looking a little more like a playoff team each week."The vibe over here is crazy," running back Joe Mixon said. The Bengals (4-1) appeared headed for a desultory home-field loss as the Dolphins (3-2) 鈥?playing with depleted lines 鈥?rolled ahead 17-0 with the help of Jakeem Grant's 70-yard punt return for a touchdown. The Bengals' defensive line pulled it out with two wacky plays.Tannehill tried to avoid a sack by throwing the ball at his tight end's feet. Instead, it slipped from his hand and caromed off Durham Smythe's helmet, flying directly to Michael Johnson. He ran 22 yards untouched for his first NFL touchdown. The defense closed it out when Carlos Dunlap hit a scrambling Tannehill and the ball flew directly to Hubbard for his quick jaunt to the end zone and a 27-17 lead with 2:37 to go.The Dolphins were dazed."I didn't know what happened," said Tannehill, who had three turnovers. "I heard the crowd cheer and (saw) everyone run away from me, so I knew something bad happened."The win left Cincinnati alone atop the AFC North heading into a rivalry game next Sunday at Paul Brown Stadium against the Pittsburgh Steelers, who have won six straight and 14 of 17 in their series. The Dolphins have to recover from a 38-7 drubbing by New England and their meltdown against the Bengals, with Bears up next. Some takeaways from Paul Brown Stadium:DEFENSE MAKES THE DIFFERENCECincinnati's young defense has given up a lot of yards but made decisive fourth-quarter plays in three of their wins. Safety Clayton Fejedelem returned a fumble for a touchdown to beat Indianapolis, and the Bengals forced a fumble by Joe Flacco that set up their win over the Ravens. On Sunday, they had the two decisive touchdowns."Look at the plays these guys made down the stretch today, and they're rookies," coach Marvin Lewis said.MIXON'S MARKThe Bengals got a break with Mixon Youth Terrance Smith Jersey , who missed only two games after having a piece of torn cartilage removed from his right knee. With their other veteran running back 鈥?Giovani Bernard 鈥?sidelined with a knee injury, they leaned heavily on Mixon and he came through. Mixon ran 22 times for 93 yards and had three catches, including an 18-yard touchdown.LONG TIMEThe Bengals hadn't been shut out in an opening half and rallied to win since 2004, when they trailed Miami 3-0 at halftime and pulled it out 16-13. It was only the fourth time in franchise history that they scored 24 points in the fourth quarter and won 鈥?they also did it in 1972, 1978 and 2004.RARE COMPANYGrant's 70-yard punt return made him the first Dolphin to score on a reception, a kickoff return and a punt return in the same season. He had a 102-yard kickoff return against Tennessee in the season opener. Grant joins Dante Hall (2003) as the only NFL players with a 100-yard kickoff return, a 70-yard punt return and a 50-yard TD catch in the same season. The last NFL player with a touchdown of all three varieties was the Chiefs' Tyreek Hill in 2016.DEPLETED DOLPHINS' LINEMiami already was missing two starters on the offensive line when left tackle Laremy Tunsil got a concussion early in the fourth quarter. The Dolphins struggled to protect Tannehill the rest of the way, contributing to the Bengals' surge."Our left tackle wasn't in," coach Adam Gase said. "That kind of can do some damage. And when you get behind, it causes problems." Patrick Mahomes will always have some special TV footage of the Kansas City Chiefs celebrating his record-setting touchdown pass in a win over the Arizona Cardinals on Sunday. That's because Tyreek Hill was the one recording it.Mahomes threw for 249 yards with two TD strikes to Hill, but it was the second one that sent the Chiefs' first-year starter past Hall of Famer Len Dawson for the single-season TD record. It was the 31st for Mahomes 鈥?with six games yet to play 鈥?and it helped lift Kansas City to a 26-14 victory over the Cardinals and another game closer to the No. 1 seed in the playoffs.Hill celebrated the score by leaping into the stands, then commandeering the CBS camera 鈥?earning him an unsportsmanlike conduct penalty from the officials and a sharp rebuke from coach Andy Reid."The celebration just came into my head," Hill said. "For him to come in and do that, that's amazing, man. People doubted him 鈥?'He wasn't going to do this, he wasn't going to do that.' I'm proud of him."Hill had seven catches for 117 yards. Kareem Hunt pounded his way for 71 yards rushing. The defense came up with five sacks and two picks. And the Chiefs' special teams were nearly perfect, helping to keep the Cardinals (2-7) winless in six meetings at Arrowhead Stadium."It was definitely a grind out there http://www.chiefsauthorizedshops.com/authentic-eric-murray-jersey ," Hunt said, "and definitely a team that was trying to come up big in a big-time win to get their program back on track, but most importantly we got the win."Josh Rosen had 195 yards passing with a touchdown, but two interceptions and several brutal hits in the fourth quarter no doubt left a lasting impression. David Johnson ran for 98 yards with TDs on the ground and through the air, while Larry Fitzgerald had six catches for 50 yards and passed Terrell Owens for No. 2 on the NFL's career receiving yardage list in the closing minutes.Fitzgerald has 15,952 yards in 15-year career, trailing only Hall of Famer Jerry Rice."I'm pretty close to T.O. His friendship and my relationship with him is valuable to me. He means a great deal to me," Fitzgerald said. "It's frustrating that it comes in another loss."The Chiefs' weekly air show got started on the game's first play, when Hill ran right past Patrick Peterson to haul in a 38-yard reception. Two plays later, Hill ran past the rest of the Arizona defense and Mahomes found him streaking into the end zone for a 37-yard scoring catch.Arizona answered with a time-consuming 75-yard touchdown drive of its own. Both defenses fared better the rest of the half, with the Cardinals sacking Mahomes four times and the Chiefs' rejuvenated defense getting enough pressure to keep Rosen uncomfortable. The Chiefs finally reached the end zone again when Mahomes zipped a third-and-goal pass into double coverage to Hill, who cradled it for his quarterback's record-setting score."Listen, he's had a heck of a year," Reid said of Mahomes, who was not available after the game because of a family emergency. "He's played his heart out and I love the backside of that, how he goes about his business. He has a lot on his plate as far as responsibility goes to run the offense."As for Hill's touchdown celebration?"That was too much," Reid said Ron Parker Jersey , hiding a smile. "I was not happy."The Cardinals stuck with Johnson in the second half, and they slowly grinded their way to another touchdown. He carried it six times and finished a 12-play, 61-yard drive with a TD plunge to get Arizona within 20-14 midway through the third quarter. But after the Cardinals got the ball back early in the fourth, Rosen had a screen pass picked by Justin Houston at the line of scrimmage. And instead of marching for a go-ahead TD, the Cardinals watched Spencer Ware dive in for a touchdown to extend a lead the Chiefs would never relinquish."Thought the guys fought to the end," Cardinals coach Steve Wilks said. "There are no moral victories in this game. All credit goes to Kansas City. Well-prepared, good football team."QUOTABLE"I think we did a couple things really well. We've just got to duplicate it. Our opening drives were pretty long and sustainable, and kept our defense off the field. We had pretty well-timed possessions. A little good nugget here and there, but some bad things to clean up." 鈥?Rosen.COIN-TOSS LOSSThe Chiefs lost their first coin toss all season when the Cardinals successfully called tails. They deferred to the second half, forcing Kansas City to start on offense for the first time.INJURIESCardinals: WR Chad Williams (ankle), LG Mike Iupati (back) and DL Robert Nkemdichi (calf) were inactive. ... RG Justin Pugh left early in the second half with a knee injury.Chiefs: WR Sammy Watkins (foot), SS Eric Berry (heel), LB Frank Zombo (hamstring) and OL Mitch Morse (concussion) were inactive. ... Houston (hamstring) was active for the first time since Oct. 7.UP NEXTArizona returns home to face the Raiders next Sunday.Kansas City faces the Rams next Monday night in Mexico City.

Welcome to the Week 1 edition of Start or Sit.

Erstellt 02.01.2019 03:22 von panxing18 02.01.2019 03:22 In der Kategorie Investments.

While all teams start out 0-0 Authentic Braden Smith Jersey , the decisions you make on your first weekly lineup will make the difference on whether your season starts with a win come Tuesday morning.START: Alex Collins, RB, Ravens: A potential breakout performer, Collins faces a Bills run defense that allowed 4.49 yards per carry to opposing backs last season. He also proved to be more effective at home, averaging 4.9 yards per carry and scoring four of his six touchdowns at M&T Bank Stadium, making him a good second running back (RB2) despite having his touches curbed by Javorius Allen, who will serve as Baltimore's running back in passing situations.SIT: John Conner, RB, Steelers: Waiver wires went hot upon news that Le'Veon Bell would not get the start at the Browns, giving the nod to Conner, who rushed for 144 yards on 32 carries in his rookie season. Cleveland's run defense ranked among the league's best last year, finishing seventh in yards allowed and second only to the Broncos in yards per carry allowed (3.4). Conner looks like fool's gold and is more of a flex option than an RB2.START: Trey Burton, TE, Bears: Do believe the hype with Burton, who is a solid TE1 that will see more than double the 29 percent of snaps he had with the Eagles last season. Burton also caught nearly 78 percent of passes targeted to him and will thrive with new coach Matt Nagy, who helped turn Travis Kelce into a Pro Bowler when he guided the Chiefs offense. An afternoon of double-digit targets awaits Burton, who faces a Packers defense that allowed 30 touchdown passes last season.SIT: Josh Gordon, WR http://www.indianapoliscoltsteamonline.com/matthias-farley-jersey , Browns: Don't expect much from Gordon, who will be lucky to see more than 15-20 snaps against the Steelers as he gets into game shape. Temptation lies strong with him, as Gordon did average 18.6 yards per catch in limited action last season. He'll need the reps to become a more reliable receiver considering he caught just 41.8 percent of passes targeted to him. At best, Gordon is a flex in deeper, non-PPR leagues.START: Chris Hogan, WR, Patriots: The Texans were 30th in average yards allowed per catch and gave up 30 touchdown passes, a perfect scenario for Hogan, who will be fed extensively by Tom Brady. Hogan averaged nearly 17 yards per catch in the postseason and scored a combined seven touchdowns on his 43 receptions during the regular season and playoffs. With the Houston defense focused on slowing down tight end Rob Gronkowski, look for Hogan, a high-end WR2, to put up WR1-caliber numbers.SIT: Jimmy Garoppolo, QB, 49ers: Only seven quarterbacks put up better fantasy numbers than Garoppolo over the last five games of the regular season. Garoppolo averaged 308.4 yards per game in that span but will be hard-pressed to reach that total against an aggressive Vikings defense that gave up a league-low 13 touchdown passes while finishing second to the Jaguars in passing yards allowed per game (192). There are better options available.START: Andrew Luck, QB, Colts: It's easy to forget that Luck ranked among the four best quarterbacks in fantasy football three times in the previous four years prior to last season. The Bengals were eighth in passing yards allowed but Luck won't need much time to get readjusted to firing the ball to receiver T.Y. Hilton along with benefiting from an improved running game and offensive line. He's worth the start and will remind fantasy owners why he threw 86 touchdowns in his previous three seasons.SIT: Chris Carson, RB, Seahawks: After holding off rookie Rashaad Penny for the starting job http://www.indianapoliscoltsteamonline.com/clayton-geathers-jersey , Carson projects to be a sleeper play. Guess again. The Broncos can still stop the run, finishing fifth in yards allowed while leading the league with a stingy 3.3 yards allowed per carry. Carson will get his share of touches, but the thought of playing him on the road against an elite run D should be more than enough for his owners to fill their flex positions with a better option.START: Saquon Barkley, RB, Giants: There will be some trepidation in playing Barkley against a Jaguars defense that gave up just seven touchdowns to opposing running backs last season. Barkley belongs in the lineup on Sunday because his pass-catching skills will counter any resistance he may get from running the ball, especially if New York finds itself in catch-up mode. It's not a stretch to envision Barkley getting at least 8-10 targets, and his open field skills could lead to a big play or two.SIT: Randall Cobb, WR, Packers: Since catching 91 passes for 1,287 yards and 12 touchdowns in 2014, Cobb's numbers have been in freefall, plummeting to 66-653-4 to go along with a career-low 9.9 yards per catch last season. The return of Aaron Rodgers could perk up his numbers, but Cobb faces a Bears defense that was seventh in passing yards allowed while giving up a modest total of 18 touchdown passes last season. At this point, Cobb is a fringe flex option that's best off riding fantasy pine.START: Antonio Gates, TE, Chargers: Gates decided to pause his countdown to Canton to return to the Chargers as a replacement for the injured Hunter Henry. Gates will be a red zone monster against the Chiefs and will get between 7-9 targets. At the very least, his presence will open things up for receivers Keenan Allen, Travis Benjamin and Mike Williams.SIT: Cameron Brate Authentic Jordan Wilkins Jersey , TE, Buccaneers: Second-year tight end O.J. Howard continues to press for playing time, which will hurt Brate's chances of being productive against the Saints. Brate can be productive, as his 12.3 yards per catch average in 2017 indicates, but Tampa Bay didn't use a first-round pick on the freakishly gifted Howard to be a glorified run blocker.Colts elevate TE Erik Swoope to 53-man roster for Week 3, waive CB Lenzy Pipkins Today the Indianapolis Colts made a move that we expected given the current state of the injury report for the team. What we didn’t know, is what corresponding moves might be made in order to make room for him on the active 53-man roster.Tight end Erik Swoope was elevated to the active roster as the Colts are shorthanded at the position heading into their Week 3 matchup with the Philadelphia Eagles. It came as a bit of surprise recently when the Colts waived the fifth-year pass catcher, but the team was able to get him back on the practice squad. The former UDFA was signed by the Colts in 2014 as a project and before missing the entire 2017 season, he looked to be finally putting it all together. This offseason the team added Eric Ebron to the mix through free agency which took a bit of the shine off of Swoope’s skill set. Swoope did have a nice camp, and will be a much-needed addition to the tight end group who is missing its mainstay in Jack Doyle to a hip injury suffered in Week 2 against the Redskins. The position most widely considered to be a strength for the season has taken an odd shape only three weeks in. Ebron isn’t a blocker and has been used more in the first half of the first two games. Ryan Hewitt is almost strictly being used as a blocking tight end, and Swoope adds his tools which fall somewhere in the middle there. It will be very interesting to see how the group stands up in the running game, and how well they’ll replace Doyle being Andrew Luck’s security blanket in the passing game. The Colts also waived cornerback Lenzy Pipkins, which could hurt the Colts secondary depth with Quincy Wilson already being designated as OUT in Week 3. Additionally, the team has brought back QB Phillip Walker to the practice squad to fill Swoope’s void there.I think it’ll be interesting to see if the Colts hang on to Swoope going forward being as they’re likely not going to feel comfortable with only three tight ends on the roster. Despite their confidence in Doyle, carrying only three at the position has seemed to be quite thin.
